FIFA created a solidarity system whereby a small percentage of players’ transfers must go to the clubs they have trained since the age of 12.
Bolton have also joined the Marcos Alonso deal. As the Union Adarvi club did just over a month ago, the English team also complained to Barcelona, considering that there were irregularities in the contract with the Spanish player last summer.
Both teams believe the process was a transfer and claim sponsorship rights. FIFA has already listened to Barcelona and the Union Adarvi team and is awaiting a decision.
Marcos Alonso was primarily trained at Real Madrid’s youth academy, but he also went through the Adarfi club and later left them to join the ranks of Bolton FC at the age of 19, when he was still considered of training age.
Now, why would they demand said money if Marcos Alonso’s registration was announced as coming on a free from Chelsea and was not a transfer for money? Because both teams don’t think the process was like this.
The first to file a complaint was Y, Union Adarvi Team, just over a month ago. The Spanish club’s case is led by Jorge Vaquero, who was a legal advisor to the Spanish Football Federation and FIFA, and now heads the legal firm V Sports.

They believe Aubameyang’s departure to Chelsea and Marcos’ arrival from London to the Camp Nou are the same deal, not two different operations. They pointed out that the transfer of the Gabonese striker for 12 million euros is well below his market value, and only explained what they described as a “deal” if Marcos Alonso was already included in the process.
As learned by AS, Bolton have followed Union Adarvi’s path and have also lodged a complaint with FIFA. They claim their share of sponsorship rights, as he was a member of their ranks between 2010 and 2013, signing when he was still 19 years old. Moreover, FIFA could merge the two processes into one and the two teams’ lawyers were already in touch.
FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber has, for the time being, already heard Adarvi and Barcelona. Both have submitted their claims and are awaiting the announcement of the decision, when they can force FC Barcelona to pay said sponsorship rights to Avar and Bolton.
